Düsseldorf ist die Hauptstadt von Rheineland Westfalen.Düsseldorf liegt am Rhein und ist nahe dem Ruhrgebiet. Das Ruhrgebiet ist ein grosses Industriegebiet. Der Name Ruhr deuted auf den Fluss die Ruhr die in den Rhein mündet.Im Ruhrgebiet gibt es eine Schwebebahn. In einem Vorort von Düsseldorf wohnt ihre Tochter mit ihrem Ehemann und zwei Töchter .Sie leben im eigenen Haus. Die Töchter sind fleissig in der Schule und lernen deutsch und englisch.Sie sind Mitglieder beim lokalen Schwimmverein und nehmen an Schwimmwettbewerben teil. Sie sind der Stolz ihrer Eltern. Johann und Anna sind immer herzlich willkommen wenn sie den langen Flug von Australien unternehmen. Sie sind gewöhnlich sehr müde wenn sie ankommen und schlafen sich am ersten Tag erst mal aus. Nachsten Morgen gibt es zum Frühstück frische Brötschen mit Butter, Käse oder Marmelade, dazu Kaffee oder Orangensaft. Die ganze Familie frühstückt zusammen an einem schön gedeckten Tisch. Die Kinder gehen um acht Uhr in die Schule und der Schwiegersohn fährt mit seinem Wagen zur Arbeit. Johann und Anna begleiten ihre Tochter zum Einkauf im Kaufhaus oder Supermarkt. Sie kaufen Brot, Butter, Käse, Marmelade, Schweinefleisch, Wurst ,Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Gemüse( Erbsen, Karotten auch Möhren genannt, Spinat,Blumenkohl, manchmal auch Sauerkraut) Sie fahren mit der Strassenbahn wieder nach Hause und dann wird das Mittagessen gekocht. Das Mittagsmal ist dann Schweinebraten für heute mit Kartoffeln und Sauerkraut und einer schönen Soße.Am Nachmittag holen sie die Kinder von der Schule ab und gehen am Rhein spazieren, verwöhnen sie danach mit Kaffee und Kuchen in der Konditorei und eilen dann heim um mit dem Schwiegersohn, der um 5.30 Uhr von seiner Arbeit heimkehrt, gemeinsam das Abendbrot zu essen. Sie essen belegte Brotscheiben mit Käse, Wurst oder manchmal Hering oder Tomate.Ein Bier oder ein Glass Wein gibt es oft auch um das Zusammensein zu feiern. Am Wochenende machen sie zusammen eine Fahrt in das naheliegende Bergland. Dort gibt es ruhige Buchenwälder, saftige Wiesen und freundliche Herbergen wo man übernachten kann.

Her daughter lives in a suburb of Düsseldorf with her husband and two daughters, who live in their own house. The daughters are hard at school and learn German and English, they are members of the local swimming club and take part in swimming competitions. They are their parents' pride. Johann and Anna are always welcome when they take the long flight from Australia. They are usually very tired when they arrive and sleep well the first day. The next morning there are fresh rolls with butter, cheese or jam for breakfast, along with coffee or orange juice. The whole family has breakfast together at a nicely laid table. The children go to school at eight and the son-in-law drives his car to work. Johann and Anna accompany their daughter to shop in a department store or supermarket. You buy bread, butter, cheese, jam, pork, sausage, potatoes, onions and vegetables (peas, carrots also called carrots, spinach, cauliflower, sometimes sauerkraut). You take the tram home and then lunch is cooked. The lunch time is then roast pork for today with potatoes and sauerkraut and a nice sauce. In the afternoon they pick up the children from school and go for a walk on the Rhine, then spoil them with coffee and cake in the pastry shop and then rush home to the son-in-law who returns from work at 5:30 a.m. to have dinner together. They eat sandwiches with cheese, sausage or sometimes herring or tomato, and there is often a beer or a glass of wine to celebrate together. At the weekend they go on a trip together to the nearby mountains. There are quiet beech forests, lush meadows and friendly hostels where you can spend the night.
