Benalla District

The many small rural townships and communities surrounding Benalla provide interesting, comfortable and supportive living environments for retirees.
The district surrounding Benalla contains many smaller townships - communities which have their own active community life - with fairs and festivals, farmers' markets, sporting teams, land care groups, silo art and more.

Baddaginnie, Tatong, Swanpool, Molyullah, Lurg, Lima, Goorambat, Goomalibee, Winton/Winton Wetlands, Devenish, Violet Town are some examples.

Activities involving U3A members in these communities - such as the
Swanpool Community Cinema, the Molyullah Easter Fair -
contribute to enriching the social and cultural life in Benalla and district as a whole.

U3A Benalla members also have access to many other regional activities such as
the Wangaratta Jazz Festival, the acclaimed Violet Town Market,
Glenrowan's wineries and King Valley regional wineries and other activities.  Kelly Country history abounds throughout our region!
