Session 12:  Unsere Reise in Deutschland

17/4/2022

Our Trip in Germany

Now we are in Frankfurt and no friends are welcoming us and we need a place to stay so we are looking for our booked hotel by taxi. It is important to have somewhere to stay after a long flight. Then the next day it is decided in our travel plan whether we will do a bus trip in which everything will be organized, the accommodation, the sights and the timing. You don't have to worry about anything from breakfast to dinner. You just have to follow. For tourists who are in Germany for the first time, this is an advantage. Or is the travel plan planned from city to city by train. You can book a city and hotel trip by train precisely through the travel agency or you can leave it open. Then you have the freedom to stay in a city as long as you want. From city to city you can book a hotel near the train station in advance. You can travel between the big cities in Germany with ICE trains, which take you quickly from big city to big city at speeds of 200 to 300 km per hour. The ICE trains run every 2 to 3 hours on the main lines. When the lines cross, the ICE trains arrive at the same platform at the same time and it is easy to change trains. Here is a personal example; My brother-in-law has a nursery near Braunschweig in Lower Saxony. My sister-in-law lives near Regensburg in Bavaria, seven hours away. I take the ICE Berlin/Frankfurt to Göttingen where the ICE route Hamburg/Munich intersects. I change trains and take this ICE train to Würzburg, where the Frankfurt/Vienna ICE line intersects. They both arrive within 5 minutes and I'll change trains and be in Regensburg in an hour. The ICE TRAIN costs a little more than the regional train. The regional train network allows you to visit almost every small town in Germany.
