Session 36 - "Today we translate into German"

Today we translate into German

Where are we?   What is the name of your town?    Is there a railway station?   Do trains stop there? I have to buy a ticket. I want to go to Albury. I have an appointment there.  Is there a bakery in town?   What sort of bread do they bake?   Is there a butcher in town?  What variety of meat is sold there?  Beef, pork, lamb, mutton or poultry.  Is there a supermarket in your suburb? I need to buy vegetables. Potatoes, carrots, beans, onions, cabbage and cauliflower. I need cheese, milk, eggs, flour, salt, pepper and herbs. Sometimes I buy a bottle of wine or some bottles of beer. Where do I find flowers for my girl friend? It is her birthday. She will be 22 years old.  She studies to become a teacher. She loves children. My parents take a walk into town. They use the footpath to be save. They activate the traffic light to go across the road. They go to the post office and the bank. They visit a friend in the hospital. They have a rest in the park and later have a meal in the hotel. They pick up their son and daughter and the grand children from the airport. They came to see the big football game in the Stadium. At the airport it is always difficult to find a parking spot. They have their own house. Their fence is made of wood. They have a German shepherd dog. He has his own hut and watches the property. A street lamp is in front of the house. In the evening they sit in front of the fire place. The grand children go to bed by 8 o’ clock.
