The spring wildflower walk on part of the Sunrise Track, Warby - Ovens National Park on October 2 was our challenging walk for the year. We welcomed our former Convenors, Vaughan & Marion Cowan, thanks to Vaughan for leading the walk. Marion is keen eye sighted & named some stressed indigenous plants in the parched soil due to low annual rainfall. Although steep & rugged in places, the nine intrepid walker endured these conditions ... Congratulations. The rewards were the impressive Xanthorrhoreas, some coming into flower & views east to Mt Buffalo & the mountain range.
