Starting on the northern section, we explored plantings in the Botanical Gardens and the Aboriginal Community Garden and were inspired by the magnificent remnants of Red River Gum forest. We attempted to identify birds in the trees, on the ground and water! Along the southern section, we wandered off the track to discover loops, nooks and crannies and evidence of early settlement along the waterways.
Eight walkers were welcomed, including four new members and I thank all for their contribution to the history of the area.
