'Bushwalking - Easy Walks - 1st Wednesday of the month, all day'
The walk commences at the intersection of C377(Beechworth-Chiltern Rd), and Old Coach Road. From here to the Mt Pilot picnic area is about 2.7km,with a further 300m to the summit lookout, for a total walk of about 6km.Poles/walking sticks are suggested for the final 300m as it can be steep in parts. There is a parking area along Old Coach Road for those wanting a shorter trek, but the road is well formed and easy to walk. The summit lookout provides a stunning panoramic view and is a must see, for those who feel safe to do so.
After conquering the summit, we will drive to the nearby Woolshed Falls picnic area for lunch. The waterfalls and pools are close to the picnic area, for those with time to explore further.
Please confirm your attendance by Sunday 4th April with Julie McNeill 0407823031 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or Glen Chessells 0431201077 or email@example.com. Remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, picnic lunch and a drink, and consider a walking stick or pole(s).
