Seven walkers had a pleasant stroll along Honeysuckle Creek in Violet Town in early August. Parking in the recreation reserve, we walked South underneath the railway line and crossed the bridge on the old Hume Highway. It is hard to believe that this narrow road used to carried so much traffic. We then walked back along the Eastern side of the creek to cross another bridge and enjoyed our lunch in the reserve. It is amazing that such a small town has such good walks, sporting facilities and of course the regular Market.
