This year's U3A Christmas Break Up was held at the iconic Red Stag Restaurant in Eurobin. The 70 acre property, powered entirely by Solar Panels, has Deer, Ostriches, Emus and Goats roaming around the paddocks.
Our group filed into the Restaurant for a 2-course meal, alternate style, perhaps accompanied by a glass of wine. Of necessity, our large group was on a strict timetable, but we were efficiently serviced by two lovely waitresses.
2023 has been another very successful year for Benalla U3A, so after the meal President, Margaret Jenkins, welcomed us all, thanked Convenors and Members for their enthusiasm and hard work and then she thanked the Red Stag staff for its hospitality.
Before leaving, most of us couldn't resist stepping outside to the veranda, to drink in those stunning views down the Ovens Valley all the way to Mt. Bogong.
