We gathered in Shepparton on 28 August 2015 to say farewell to one of the founding members of Benalla U3A.
During her many years as a member Betty was a participant in a vast number of groups – Politics, Book Group, Comparative Religion, Australian History, Philosophy, Creative Writing, Wine Appreciation, to name just a few. Betty had a special interest in Politics and was a great believer in free education, social justice, gender equality and freedom of speech.
A member of Probus, Betty worked for years as a volunteer at Ballandella Opportunity Shop.
Married to Geoff for 65 years. A loving mother; a doting grandmother, great grandmother and a loyal and caring friend.
