The weather has become colder in June but groups are still meeting and enjoying their programs in various ways. Exploring the Universe have been having impressive numbers of members at their meetings, whilst Community Singing shared one of their June meetings with Cooinda residents in the Alice Goulding wing at Cooinda.
We have a program for Semester 2 of 2023 which commences in July attached to this Newsletter for all to see the changes that have been made. The most notable is the starting of the Demystifying Psychology course with Jane Rushworth on the third Tuesday of the month from 10am in our U3A room. Please contact Jane on 0437 621 575 if you would like to attend.
The Committee would like to thank Benalla Rural City Council for the $500 grant received last month by U3A Benalla toward the hire of the Hub at Cooinda for our Singing for Fun and Community Singing group sessions.
Tom Arnold from Benalla Rural City Council will be the guest speaker at July Meet and Mingle on Wednesday 19th July at 10am. Tom, who spoke at our AGM, will give us an update on the Fawckner Drive Precinct. Since our AGM this has been revised by the Landscape Architects and presented to the Councillors at a meeting late in June. I would encourage as many U3A members as possible to attend.
