Many quilts produced by the Patchwork Group were on display and created much interest and discussion. A delicious morning tea followed the performance with plenty of time available to ‘Mingle’.

Those in attendance at our last Meet and Mingle for 2017 were afforded a real treat with the performance of the U3A Singing for Fun group. The three conductors Faith Hicks, Margaret Merriman and Brian Greed each conducted several songs. The performances were of a high standard and from the comments heard during morning tea it was obvious that the audience had greatly enjoyed the performance, and it seemed equally obvious that the performers enjoyed singing. Peter Simpson performed a solo act relating to yesteryear which was well received and caused much merriment as U3A members could relate to it. Neville Gibb accompanied the singers in their rendition of Halleluliah which was performed at his suggestion. Well done to those involved. Your performance did you proud.
