Jim Myconos was our guest speaker at the May Meet and Mingle. In a very interesting talk Jim outlined how the Street Art Festival came into being and some of the difficulties the committee faced in getting it off the ground. He also praised local businesses who donated finances or equipment to run the event. After running for three years, this year the Street Art attracted lots of artists and visitors to the town. Jim said that a fourth Street Art Festival is planned.
Following morning tea, President Dorothy Webber spoke about the move to U3A’s new venue at the Senior Citizens in early July.
