Three cars, each with 4 people, left Benalla at 8.15 a.m. on the 11th November en route to Buffalo. We drove up the mountain past Lake Catani and parked the cars not far from Blackfellows Plain.
Our morning walk included Mahomets Coffin, the Sentinonal [also called the Piano], The Corral and The Castle. It was a super walk with so many different shapes and colours of rocks, and at times great views.
Lunch was enjoyed back near the cars, before we headed up hill to view The Cathedral and The Hump. We could see the Cresta Ski Runs, The Horn and looked towards the Buffalo Plateau and many Mountain Ranges in the distance.
Native flowers were in abundance on both walks.
Next, back to our cars and we drove to The Chalet area for afternoon tea and a look around. The Chalet gardens were fantastic with many wonderful colourful rhododendrons.
