'Eight walkers enjoyed great weather for Mt Buffalo walks'

Eight walkers enjoyed great weather to do three very different walks at Mt Buffalo in March. Dicksons falls, the Hump and the Old Galleries. Three members had never walked on Mt Buffalo previously.

The next walk is Wednesday 10th April 2019 Beechworth Woolshed Falls S-3-3

Beginning at the Powder Magazine we follow Spring Creek past the Cascades, goldfields and onto Woolshed falls. 10km. Meet at the ‘The Centre’ Tennis Courts Barkly St. Leave Benalla 9.15 am.

'Three easy and interesting walks at Mt Buffalo' March 13

On Wednesday March 13 the Mid Week Walks group will undertake a series of three easy and interesting walks at Mt Buffalo – Dickson Falls, Cathedral/Hump and Old Galleries (subject to time).

Some climbing will be involved to the Hump. Total distance 7km.

Meet at ‘The Centre’ Tennis Courts. Barkly Street (Behind Aldi) to leave Benalla at 8 am.

Benalla Bushwalking Group's 'Mid Week Walks'

Walks organised by the Benalla Bushwalking Club Inc. held on the second Wednesday of each month, weather permitting. These walks are suitable for the retired person of reasonable fitness. U3A members wishing to go on these walks need to join the Benalla Bushwalking Club for insurance purposes. Membership fees at present are $45 per person or $40 incl. $5 discount if paid before March 31. We pool cars and share transport costs.

Meeting times

The group meets on the 2nd Wednesday at 9.30 am or thereabouts at the Barkly Street carpark - old tennis courts behind Aldi. Information on meeting times for specific walks will be included in newsletters and on the calendar on the website.
