Our theme for July was 'blue and white' and we had a very nice display ranging from Op Shop items to Spode and Wedgewood, all of which had some meaning to the Collector. There were other items as well, including a miniature porcelain sewing machine, a set of Bakelite canisters and Teddy Bears.
Our theme for August is Jewellery. Judith Borthwick.

Our Collectors group have not met this month due to our change of date but will meet on Monday 24th July at 10.00 am in the U3A room at the Seniors Community Centre. Our theme for this meeting will be ‘blue and white’ or whatever you would like to bring along. Members were saddened to hear of the death of Jim Casey. Jim attended our last meeting of Collectors and brought along an exquisite figurine of a dairymaid milking a cow. A picture of this was included in the June Newsletter. Jim was a valued member of our group and will be sadly missed Judith Borthwick Slide Show: Includes photos of Jim at Collectors' first session in February 2016; some of his treasured pieces, plus a photo of him chatting to Cheryl, possibly about her Clarice Cliff pottery, at the end of the session he attended just before becoming unwell in late June 2017.
