A glorious day had 29 of us travelling to King River Estate Winery for this month’s tasting. In a delightful setting, Karen, one of the owners, led us on a ‘how to make wine’ trip which proved fascinating and informative. We tried many varieties of reds and whites, some of which had been produced from grapes grown on their Flying Duck vineyard next door. Lunch followed at the King River Cafe where once again, we were well looked after.
Next month, Friday 16th June, we are off to Rutherglen. Andersons Winery, 1619 Chiltern-Rutherglen Rd, followed by lunch at The Pickled Sisters Cafe, 121 Main St, Rutherglen.
