14 October
Freida presented the session. The first presentation was the Goldberg Variations by Bach - played by pianist, composer and arranger Joe Chindamo with the interweaving counterpart for violin composed by Joe played by violinist Zoe Black. We had been introduced to the variations in our last session by John. Bach was commissioned by Goldberg to compose music for him to listen to at night as he was a poor sleeper.
We concluded with another YouTube clip of Joe and Zoe playing a jazz arrangement of Gershwin’s ‘It ain’t necessarily so’.
