A short month (only the one session) saw us begin with the longest orchestral work in the classical repertoire – Brahms Piano Concerto No.2. Those of our number familiar with the film “Amadeus” would have recognised melodies in Mozart’s 25th Symphony while a trumpet concerto by Haydn written when the trumpet was still in its development rounded out the session.
