Local Writers Groups - Writers' Corner & Broken River Writers
The Writers' Corner monthly workshop meets at the Benalla Library on the last Wednesday of the month from 5 to 6 pm. Many members of this group have a passion for fantasy worlds, including convenor Carla Gardner.
Writers from Writers' Corner form the backbone of the Broken River Writers group which in a funded project in conjunction with NEA is currently running Tomorrow Today Foundation funded Discovery Workshop with a published writer/s each month. There are still a number to go, with the most recent held at NEA last Friday featuring child novelist Thea Kalipkakis.
