Unfortunately I was only able to be there for a short period, however, by all reports there was enjoyable discussion around the various items brought by the members, which included ancient Chinese and Roman coinage, a story of one family’s brush with 1930 penny, a 1919 uncirculated United Kingdom Coin set which included 5 commemorative coins, tokens commemorating the opening of the Australian Parliament in 1901 and the opening of Parliament House Canberra in 1927.
It was felt that at the next meeting we do something similar, so we should bring along a coin/coins, notes, medallions as subjects for discussion.
Looking forward to the 18th March.
