Our first outing for 2024 will be to Wangaratta, for a walk along the Ovens River. Please meet at the carpark behind the Seniors Building at 9am on Thursday 14 March. Note earlier time than advertised, in case the day is hot. We will car pool where possible for the drive to Wangaratta.
The Ovens River flows through Wangaratta and provides good birding in an attractive setting along a walking track. Please bring water and whatever food you need for the morning. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Binoculars are very helpful if you have them, for identifying birds on the walk. I’m hoping we will have time for a coffee at a café after the walk.
