We saved ourselves from the shock of the first of February’s heat by postponing our start by a week.
Even so we stopped a little earlier than usual but I think we left a good imprint on Val’s front garden with a quick sprucing up and pruning back. Afternoon tea was up to the usual standard and we left with some herb cuttings and an apple slice recipe.
In early March we will do the same, gathering at Shirlie’s on the third Monday to avoid interrupting long weekend plans. We have the chance to put in a fifth Monday session (March 30th) and will finalise details when we meet on the 16th.
