In our first session we learned about the buttons, ports and the camera lenses on iPads. We also discussed WiFi and got ourselves connected to the U3A WiFi.
In the second session our main focus was ‘surfing the web’ which we did via Google.
One of the Quiz questions asked was, ‘When did the Queen visit Benalla?’ Interestingly there were two differing answers; 1953 and 1954, depending upon which website you went to. So beware! ‘Fake facts’ are out there.
Thank you to Bev Lee for coming along each session and helping the absolute beginners in setting up email accounts and helping to solve computing problems.
Also thank you to Pat Treleaven, Margaret Walshe and Helen Jeffries for being wonderful mentors to other iPad beginners.
Next month Tech Savvy Beginners iPad sessions are on Wednesday 7th March and Wednesday 21st March.
