Our traditional February 'Chat 'n Chew' at the Royal continues!

During 2023 we changed our Chat and Chew lunches to the 2nd Friday of the month, however the tradition of having our first lunch for the year at 'The Royal Hotel' hasn't changed! Our first lunch for 2024 will take place at the Royal Hotel on Friday 9th February, arriving at 11.45 for a 12 midday start.

"Get well, Lorraine"

30/10/2023

Lorraine was unable to attend the October Chat and Chew as she was taken to hospital with heart problems. However, I received an update from her letting us know that, following two procedures, it was found that valve not as badly damaged as they thought and Lorraine did not require open heart surgery. Lorraine was looking forward to her return home to Benalla.

November is, of course, U3A Benalla’s Christmas lunch celebration, so the next Chat and Chew will be on Friday 12th February 2024, at the Royal Hotel, the traditional venue for the first Chat 'n Chew of the year.

Could I just say how much I appreciated the lovely cards, phone calls, and chauffeuring I received in the last 5 months. It’s great to be back though.

Owing to unforeseen circumstances we couldn’t go to Ella Goose in April, so we went to Farmers Basket, where we were welcomed and looked after. We were all delighted with our meals and will definitely go there again.

March’s Chat & Chew at Benalla Golf Club was very disappointing in numbers, smallest ever. But in saying that we had a beautiful meal and we all enjoyed ourselves.

'Where has 2022 gone?'

We had a lovely lunch at Ella Goose in October and will definitely go there again.
