U3A Benalla Online

E-mails
[email protected] and others

U3A Benalla sends out emails on a regular basis. The 'official' U3A Benalla Inc. account is [email protected], however emails are sent from a number of accounts.

Len Jeffers, our Membership Officer, sends emails with  enrolment & course details each semester.  Watch out for emails from [email protected] with U3A in the subject line.

The Newsletter Editor, Heather Wallace, provides a direct link to the newsletter published on our website in the email she sends with the monthly newsletter - you just need to click on the link:

U3A Benalla Newsletter December 2025

The newsletter's email address is [email protected].  If you have trouble, reply to Heather's email, or contact her on 0418 353 244.

NB: Members who do not have email accounts usually elect to receive the newsletter by post, which in 2026 costs $20.

Convenors often send emails confirming details of upcoming sessions and notifying class members of changes of plan.  These usually come from their own email accounts.

Website
https://www.u3abenalla.weebly.com

The U3A Benalla Website is updated each month when the Newsletter is published.

From the top menu:
The Home page is really popular, particularly its 'What's On' Calendar (also on the back page of the Newsletter).

Benalla has been a key menu item from the start, as we know people thinking of moving here are keen to find out what is available for older people.

About/Our U3A provides a chance to find out about the 'governance' aspects of U3A Benalla Inc. and includes the most informative monthly President's message.

Groups are key to U3A Benalla - the current group list, a list of past groups, and individual group pages can be accessed through the top menu and the drop down menu.

Join/Join Us is the place to go for forms when you are planning to enrol.  Forms are also in the Join drop down menu.

News  A page for general news. Some items will be about changes to programs, timetables or news of meetings.  Some items will be celebratory, others will be sad.  There will also be longer news items on topics of interest.

News is also found in the monthly About/President's Message and on

FB - the link to our Facebook page can be found on the top menu under FB.  Members with open FB accounts will find that it opens directly.

Gallery  A link to slide show presentations of group activities from 2014 to 2025.  A chance to reminisce!

Links to other U3A websites in our region include details of the courses they offer.  Did you know that you can become an associate member of other U3A's?  The Links page also contains links to articles about U3A.

Some helpful hints

Find items of interest using 'Search'
Use the search box in the footer (at the bottom of each page) to locate items of interest.  For example, to find out  "Who spoke at Meet and Mingle on Bees?", just type in Bees in the search box and voila! the answer is .........!
Find older entries using the <previous link
There is a <previous link at the bottom of blog pages which takes you to previous posts.  You can also click on months listed in the Archives. A nice way to reminisce!
Increase and decrease text size
A very easy tip - hold Control button down and hit + to increase the size; and hold Control button down and hit - to reduce the size.

Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/u3abenalla/

U3A Benalla's Facebook page can be found on the top menu by clicking on FB.

Our U3A Benalla Facebook page complements the newsletter and website.  It has gradually grown from 86 followers on 7 Jan 2019 to 417 followers on 3 January 2026.  We often have
15 to 25 'likes' to our posts.

Avid photographers Bev Thornell,  Andi Stevenson, Rene Martens and Bev Lee regularly add posts to our FB page.  We also use our FB page to market U3A in various ways as we know it can be a first port of call for new members.

It is not compulsory to follow U3A Benalla on Facebook as many U3A members don't have FB accounts.

If you do have a FB account and you haven't already 'Liked' or 'Followed' U3A Benalla, we'd love you to do so.  There is lots to like, comment on or share with others.
If you would like to see and comment on FB posts you need to set up a Facebook account and 'Like' U3A Benalla to see our feeds.  If  you don't have children or grandchildren to help you, please check with one of our  clever U3A members :)
