We commenced our new timetable in August - the first, second and third Thursdays from 10 to 12 - with class members transitioning from the 'On Target' short course taking part.

We had a most  productive month, beginning by achieving 'House Keeping' tasks on our devices. When certain Apps stop working, this can easily be fixed following our House Keeping procedures.
We also:
  • Added email accounts to tablets
  • Sent & received emails
  • Downloaded apps
  • Looked at & downloaded What’s App.
  • Checked out Voice recording & Video
  • 'Zoomed'
  • Added replacement passwords
  • Downloaded music
  • Read PDF's on our devices
  • Discussed the Aust.Post scam
  • Created folders in Google Drive
  • Printed from mobile phones to the new wireless printer (pictured - thank you Sharon!)
  • and more!
Revision is also included at every session.

Cheers for now.  See you all soon, Covid permitting.

April - 'Trial by Fire'

1/5/2021

Tech Savvy Beginners (Android) is now underway on the third Wednesday from 12.15 to 1.45 pm. Our new Convenor Robyn Lukey reports having undergone 'trial by fire' in her second session, with the room unavailable at the beginning of the session, photocopy jambs, new students to orientate, patient students waiting, all with different learning needs, and more.  Overall, a convenor's nightmare!  However, Robyn is enthusiastic, committed and looking forward to the next session.  Whew!

We are very keen to provide additional mentoring support in this class - if you are a confident Android Phone and/or tablet user and enjoy mentoring and supporting others to develop skills in using them, please contact Robyn on 0403 164 931 or Bev on 0478 607 838.    We would love to hear from you.

If you would like to go on a waiting list to join the class, which is run in a relaxed, small group format, please contact Robyn Lukey on 0403 164 931 or email robynlukey51@gmail.com.
