We look forward to seeing you--however please note we will be taking a break on the 11th June for the Queen's Birthday long weekend. Heather Wallace Only one session was held this month, which was enjoyed by those who attended. If you would like to join the group, sessions are on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Heather Wallace Saturday Cards 500 is an opportunity for members to test their memories and skills. It is not a game where we play for ‘sheep stations’, but a time to have a laugh whilst enjoying the company of others.
We welcome members who wish to be part of this group, whether you are a beginner wishing to learn, someone who has had lots of experience or someone who hasn’t played for years and want to sharpen your skills. Saturday cards are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Heather Wallace What a lot of fun and laughs we had on Saturday.
There were three groups of players and each group had a different outcome on our games. Some reached the score of 500 very quickly and others were still trying to reach the magic number well into the afternoon. There is room for more players, so please come and join in. Heather Wallace Once again Saturday Cards – 500 will be held the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. It is a fun way to spend an afternoon – there is lots of laughter, lollies and of course a number of hands of ‘500’. \
You don’t have to be an experienced player, some of us have learnt as we have played or have been a bit ‘rusty’ as we have not played for years. Everyone is most welcome. Heather Wallace Since the lockdown we have had two sessions of Cards on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. All who attended were so looking forward to being able to play 500 again. It is such an intriguing game, and time flies so quickly when playing. With the highs and the lows during each hand there is lots of laughter and groaning when a player is either dealt a good or bad hand. The last session will be held on Saturday 13th December. Come along and join us. Heather Wallace
‘Saturday Cards – 500’ is now meeting on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays and will recommence on Saturday 13th November in the U3a room in the Seniors building commencing at 1.30pm It will be so good to be back and enjoying one and others company again. It is open to all U3a members, so come along and have some fun.
You are required to show proof of double vaccination of COVID 19 before you can enter, either by showing your paper version of ‘Certificate of Vaccination’ from the Australian Immunisation Register or by showing the COVID 19 digital Certificate on your mobile phone. Either one is acceptable. Heather Wallace Unfortunately, cards on Saturday has been put on hold during the lockdowns we are currently having. It has been months since we last met! It will be so good to get back to our enjoyable activity when things get back to some normality. It is hoped that we can meet again soon, however we are proposing to change our meeting days to the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. I will contact those who have been missing out on cards as soon as we can meet again.
Heather Wallace Following cancellation of our activity due to Lockdown 5, we will be resuming when socially distancing requirements are further eased. We look forward to returning, playing cards and enjoying the company of other players.
Heather Wallace As with other U3A classes, Saturday Cards did not take place in June. Thank goodness, July has arrived and we can return for some fun, laughter and enjoyment on Saturday 3rd July.

A social activity, it commences at 1:30 pm, with afternoon provided.
An enjoyable way to spend leisure time with other members! Convenor & Contact DetailsHeather Wallace 0418 353 244.
