October is Taster Month when members of U3A can try another course to see if they like it, before enrolling for it in 2025. Please contact the Convenor of the group you want to try before turning up. Also, if you have a friend who is not a U3A member, the offer to bring them along to try what you enjoy in October and November applies.
The Committee would like to remind you about the Get Online Week function which will be on Wednesday 16 October. We will have Kay Blore speaking at Meet and Mingle on Recycling at 10am, which will be followed by morning tea. At 11.30 we will have an Overview of the Be Connected program which U3A Benalla have been involved with since 2016.
Following the Overview of the Be Connected program we will have a BBQ lunch outside under the veranda of the Benalla Seniors building.The Ukes4Fun group are going to entertain us during lunch.
Please bring anyone who would benefit from our Digital Instruction programs so that they can find out about the programs we have on offer. Ruth Jelliff, Jenny Sawyer and Robyn Lukey will all be attending.
We would also like to remind you about our end of year concert at Meet and Mingle on 20 November 2024 at 10am which will be held in the Auditorium of the Benalla Seniors Community Centre. The concert will feature the Singing for Fun group, the Recorder group and the Ukulele group as well as having a display of patchwork by the Patchwork and Craft group.
Our end of year lunch is booked for Friday 29 November at 12 o’clock at Seven Creeks Hotel at Euroa. A bus will leave the Rose Gardens in Benalla at 11 am. Cost of lunch is $45, or $55 if you are travelling by bus. A form to book the end of year lunch will be available in next month’s Newsletter.
