Benalla and District University of the Third Age, or U3A, provides opportunities for learning and social interaction to help older people no longer in full time employment keep physically & mentally alert.

Firstly, a very big thank you must go to Benalla Rural City for the Grant of $900 from the Community Grants Program.
After a couple of weeks of problems with the air-conditioning all are now fixed. We have moved into our office space. Thanks to Council for removing the hand-basin and supplying a desk.
As we head into the depths of Winter, make sure to keep those cold and flu bugs away. For those on their annual pilgrimage North, think of us on these cold, frosty mornings.

History Courses - Thank you to both John Barry 'Over There' and Meg Dillon 'Some Moments in Australian History' for designing and delivering such wonderfully provoking and enlightening courses during Semester 1. Terry Case returns on the 2nd and 4th Friday on August 10 with 'Armchair History' - 'The War of the Roses - The Real Game of Thrones'. To join, just show up at the first session.
Games - Convened by Dorothy Webber, a Games group has been reinstated on the 4th Wednesday from 10 am to 12 midday using the timeslot previously used by the Recorder Group. Beginning with board games, the group has great potential to fill the hole left by the previous Games group which offered 'indoor games of the non-physical variety' including cards, scrabble and mahjong.
