"U3A Easy Walks today was ably led by Andi Stevenson, who introduced us to some of the historic sites in the beautiful Rural area of Yarck and the Great Victorian Rail Trail, which runs through the town. After checking out the restored Cathkin Rail Reserve, a short bush track led us on to to a small picnic are beside the historic Cremona Bridge, now in disrepair, which still spans the tranquil Goulburn River. Lunch at Yarck Rec. Reserve, saw most of us make a beeline over to the iconic Giddy Goat Cafe. Those still wanting to keep exploring, followed Andi back along the Rail Trail to the remains of the Station and siding shed. We returned via the Main Street of Yarck, popping into a little Bookshop, plus a longer visit to the iconic Bindi Naturals outlet, which carries a huge range of its Botanicals skincare products, as well as an excellent Cafe.
